Once you download the 2.6GB file to your downloads folder, click on the Office Preview Package to get started. You will be guided through the necessary steps to install this software.
Tip: I had to upgrade my OS X because you can't install Office for Mac with any version of OS X below 10.10. To see my tutorial on how to upgrade your OS X go here.
I also had some internet interruptions on my initial download to my downloads folder and had a hard time opening the package because it did not download the full 2.6GB. Make sure that you fully downloaded the package.
Step 2: Read and Agree to Licensing Agreement
The software license agreement comes in many languages, this one in English. Once you read the agreement, you will have scrolled to the bottom. Click continue to agree.
Step 3: Agree to the License Agreement to Begin Installation
You will then be prompted to agree. Once you do you will select what users of your computer will have access to the software to select the destination for install. You will need 5.62GB of free space to install. Select and click continue.
Step 4: Install Office for Mac
I want all users of my computer to be able to access Office and made sure to have the available space. Now I am ready to install. I click install. I had to wait a few moments for the installation to complete. Then I was notified that the installation was successful. And my installation is complete.

3.1: How to convert wmv/mkv/flv/avchd/avi/dvd
MPEG Streamclip (Mac) is a very simple application and using it is just as easy. You need to drag and drop the file you want to process on top of the main window and then select the modifications you want to perform to that specific video. Once a video is loaded you can view and modify things like the Video PID, Audio PID and Audio mode as well. Another way to open the files is by reaching the File menu then choosing one of the options that suit your file type: Open Files, Open URL or Open DVD. If you have a WMV, MKV, FLC, AVCHD or AVI file, then the best option is to choose Open Files.
MPEG Streamclip offers great file conversion features, which make the whole process very simple as well. Once the file is complete, you can choose the desired format you want to export it to from the File menu and then wait for the conversion to complete. The supported output formats are QuickTime, DV, MPEG-4 and AVI. Yes, there might not be many, but on the other hand MPEG Streamclip is available free of charge, so being able to do this free of charge is surely amazing. For example, if you access the Edit menu, you can choose to delete an audio track or fix any timecode problems that might appear. Use Launchpad to delete an app
Launchpad offers a convenient way to delete apps that were downloaded from the App Store.
To open Launchpad, click it in the Dock or open it from your Applications folder. You can also pinch closed with your thumb and three fingers on your trackpad.
If you don't see the app in Launchpad, type its name in the search field at the top of the screen. Or swipe right or left with two fingers on your trackpad to show the next or previous page.
Press and hold the Option (⌥) key, or click and hold any app until the apps jiggle.
Click next to the app that you want to delete, then click Delete to confirm. The app is deleted immediately. Apps that don't show either didn't come from the App Store or are required by your Mac. To delete an app that didn't come from the App Store, use the Finder instead.
Deleting an app doesn't cancel any subscription you may have purchased with that app. Learn how to cancel subscriptions for apps that were downloaded from the App Store.
Use the Finder to delete an app
Locate the app in the Finder. Most apps are in your Applications folder, which you can open by clicking Applications in the sidebar of any Finder window. Or use Spotlight to find the app, then press and hold the Command (⌘) key while double-clicking the app in Spotlight.
Drag the app to the Trash, or select the app and choose File > Move to Trash.
If you're asked for a user name and password, enter the name and password of an administrator account on your Mac. This is probably the name and password you use to log in to your Mac.
To delete the app, choose Finder > Empty Trash.

I have a new Mac Mini and a MacBook Air running on Mavericks and an older Mac Mini 2,1 1,83Ghz Core 2 Duo 2Gb RAM running on Snow Leopard 10.6.8. I use back to my Mac a lot with my Air to my new Mini when traveling. The old Mac Mini is built into my boat and I want to use this one on Back to my Mac too but it's not available for Snow Leopard :-(
So I'm considering an upgrade. Back when Lion came out I upgraded the Mini to Lion but that was a complete disaster. It became sooooo slow!!! So I downgraded it to Snow Leopard again and everything is back to normal. It's a snappy computer which only runs some navigation software, e-mail and internet. And even VMWare Fusion with a Windows partition.
But.. I want Back to my Mac.. -back- So my question is: is it advisable to upgrade the thing to Mountain Lion? Or Mavericks? (if even possible) Or will it get as slow as it was on Lion again? I need to know.. I don't feel much for an experiment and then downgrade it again. Any ideas? Would a RAM upgrade help? What's the max RAM for this thing?
